All products you purchase from Co-Fire come with a standard 2-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects.
This means that a product must function as you might reasonably expect under normal use.
What is covered under warranty?
- Manufacturing defects
- Construction and welding errors
- Defects not caused by misuse or insufficient maintenance
- Problems that demonstrably arise within the warranty period during normal use
What is not covered by the warranty?
- Damage due to incorrect, intensive or unsafe use
- Damage due to lack of maintenance
- Rust formation or discolouration due to weather influences (if material-specific)
- Scratches, bumps or transport damage after receipt
- Parts that are subject to normal wear and tear, such as:
Grill grates (no guarantee when using extremely high temperatures)
GrillRing (exposure to outside air, so if not protected with a top)
Loose parts / wood
Cast iron fire bowl (cracks when dropping the bowl)
How do I submit a warranty claim?
If you have a defect within the warranty period, we'll help you as quickly as possible.
Step-by-step plan:
- Please contact us via info@co-fire.nl .
- Please include the order number, a description of the problem, photos or videos of the defect, and your contact details in the email.
- We will assess your report and contact you as soon as possible about the next steps.
Depending on the situation, we offer repair, replacement or refund, in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsible use and installation
To be eligible for warranty claims, the product must:
- Correctly mounted according to the manual
- Used safely
- Not be adapted or modified
- Used according to product intended use
(e.g. outdoor use, heat-resistant surface, use of protective cover, etc.)
Maintenance of Co-Fire products
Proper maintenance significantly extends their lifespan. Our products are available in various materials, including steel, Corten steel, stainless steel, and coated metal. Maintenance guidelines vary by material.
Wear and tear & natural aging
For products exposed to fire, heat and outdoor conditions, natural wear and tear is normal.
This includes, among other things:
- Discoloration due to heat
- Patina (rust layer) on corten steel
- Expansion or shrinkage of wood
- Dropping a cast iron fire bowl
These types of wear and tear are not covered by the warranty.
Tips for optimal use & maintenance
- Always use protection when the product is outside for extended periods
- Clean products regularly after use
- Protect metal parts from prolonged moisture
- Check screws, connections and grilles periodically
- Store accessories dry
- Allow fireplaces to cool completely before cleaning
